Side by Side- Youth Action Project

Side by Side is a social action project for young people aged 14 – 18 in Aylesbury. The young people will work together over the course of six sessions to select a theme of interest, such as Women and Equality or Mental Health, develop their interview, research and film making skills, interview local councillors and senior council staff and produce a short film.
The project aims to inspire young people’s participation in civic life, develop individual skills such as planning, coordination and team work and build self-esteem.
Sessions were delivered in person this October in collaboration with Aylesbury Youth Action at Queens Park Arts Centre and interviews with councillors will take place in the new year.
