Creative Wellbeing

Creative Wellbeing is a programme of creative workshops held weekly at Aberford Park Community Centre in Borehamwood to promote wellbeing, improve health, reduce isolation, provide mental stimulation, encourage skill development and increase social interaction for participants.

Participants enjoy a wide range of creative activities such as painting, printmaking, pottery, textiles, and collage making.

In May, our workshops were in celebration of Africa Day. Our beneficiaries participated in workshops inspired by African artists, traditional African art forms, and celebrated African culture and nature. Workshops included Ndebele pot making, postcard drawings inspired by African Botanical Gardens, fabric collages inspired by Abdoulaye Konate and repeat pattern making inspired by Thandiwe Muriu.
