Inspiring Minds – Family Workshops

Inspiring Minds- Family Workshops October Half Term 2021

This project engages with children and families in the school holidays within the Square Mile, in London.

Inspiring minds provides children the opportunity to express themselves in an artistic and creative way. The first part of this project took place over the October Half Term 2021 with sessions at the Golden Lane Community Centre and the Artizan Library. The theme of the workshops was to celebrate Black History Month and promote understanding and diversity.

The participants used paint, paper and a range of craft materials to make African Animals, Ndebele Houses, Caribbean birds as well as African flags and much more.

“Enjoyed painting with brushes and learning about different African flags”

“Olivia enjoyed painting the masks and mixing colours. Olivia had fun and learnt about African masks. Genevieve the facilitator was very calm, kind and helpful”
